Acrylonitrile REACH Consortium
The European Acrylonitrile Sector Group members, part of the Cefic Petrochemistry Industry Sector, have formed the Acrylonitrile REACH Consortium, whereby the member companies are jointly preparing a technical dossier and chemical safety report before the 2010 deadline. Further details will be available for interested, legitimate registrants in the near future and provisions will be made available to SIEF members to purchase access to the data and make reference to the registration documentation, once complete.
Through this Consortium, handled by TSGE in charge both of the consortium management and as the technical service provider, the manufacturers have decided to join efforts to prepare consistent registration dossiers covering ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene), SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile) and NBR (nitrile-butadiene-rubber) before 30 November 2010.
The consortium invites all interested parties – other EU manufacturers, non-EU manufacturers, importers, downstream users or other data holders – to join the consortium and play an active role in their REACH work.
