The European Solvents Industry Group (ESIG), in co-operation with the Solvents Industry Association (SIA), is launching a DVD to promote the safe handling of solvents in the workplace. It illustrates a variety of situations where the handling of solvents requires special and careful management with regard to health, safety and the environment.
Produced in five different languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish), the DVD can be ordered from eva@cefic.be and is available on www.esig.org.

Act NOW and prepare for REACH pre-registration in order to continue manufacturing or importing chemicals without interruption
Starting June 1 until December 1, 2008 potential EU registrants are invited to advise the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) of their intent to register.
